Muscat – During the meeting, the Board discussed and approved a new program, the ‘Fellowship in Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics’. This initiative will help enhance local training opportunities for national medical cadres in fellowship specialisations.
The meeting also addressed a review of internal reports related to specialised residency and local fellowship training programs. Furthermore, the Board reviewed several other items on the agenda, including the approval of the minutes from the second Board of Trustees meeting and following up on decisions and action plans linked to previously discussed topics.
The Board also reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming visit by the International Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, which is part of the periodic assessment and accreditation procedures for the training programmes.
