MUSCAT — A travel agency in Muscat has been ordered to suspend its travel agency activities for one year after failing to provide overseas holiday packages contracted by three consumers, the Consumer Protection Authority said on Saturday.
The agency’s representative was sentenced to a total of three months in prison, while fines totalling RO 900 were also imposed, according to the authority.
The consumers had contracted the establishment to arrange trips outside Oman, including flights, hotel accommodation and sightseeing tours. The establishment subsequently cancelled the trips without providing the agreed services.
