NEW YORK – His Excellency Sayyid Badr met with Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The two sides discussed opportunities for enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic and cultural sectors. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and international cooperation in addressing global challenges and promoting peace and security.
During his meeting with His Excellency Dr Shaya Mohsin Al-Zindani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of the Republic of Yemen, both parties reaffirmed the depth of fraternal ties and historical relations. They agreed to resume the work of the joint committee and stressed the importance of supporting dialogue and diplomacy to achieve lasting peace in Yemen.

In his meeting with His Excellency Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, the two ministers underscored the strength of Omani-Egyptian relations and ongoing cooperation across various fields. They called for unified Arab and international action to confront the continuing Israeli escalation, stressing the need to activate international mechanisms in line with international law and UN Security Council resolutions.
His Excellency also met with Hadja Lahbib, European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management. The discussions focused on the importance of upholding international law, justice, and equality – particularly with regard to the Palestinian cause – and ensuring the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation between Oman and the European Union in humanitarian and other areas of mutual interest.
In a meeting with His Excellency Yvan Gil Pinto, Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the two ministers reviewed bilateral relations and explored new areas for partnership, especially in energy, agriculture, mining, and investment. They exchanged views on pressing regional and global issues and emphasized the importance of multilateral coordination and dialogue to promote peace, food security, climate action, and sustainable development. Both sides reaffirmed their shared position on respecting state sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs as key principles of international cooperation.
His Excellency also met with His Excellency Md. Towhid Hossain, Foreign Adviser of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. During the meeting, both sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of diplomatic training. They emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation through expertise exchange, mutual visits, and joint training programs, and discussed ways to expand bilateral ties to serve shared interests.
In his meeting with His Excellency Dr. Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Omani Minister reaffirmed the longstanding and friendly relations between the two countries. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation and coordination on regional developments. Both parties highlighted the importance of dialogue and peaceful solutions to regional conflicts and reiterated their commitment to supporting efforts that promote stability and a just, comprehensive peace in the region.
All meetings were attended by senior officials from both sides.
