MUSCAT – According to the ROP, the suspects impersonated a woman and deceived a victim into believing he was in a romantic relationship with her.
They then blackmailed the victim to pay sums of money exceeding RO 200,000, claiming that the woman was being abused by her family.
Legal procedures are currently underway against the arrested individuals
