MUSCAT – During the meeting, the ministry reviewed key developments and initiatives for this year’s Hajj season (1447 AH). They also discussed major observations and indicators from the previous season and other important topics related to organising this year’s Hajj, including new updates and procedural mechanisms to ensure its success.

His Excellency Ahmed Saleh Al Rashdi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, affirmed that Hajj and Umrah companies are a fundamental pillar and key partner in the success of the Hajj season, through their collaboration and cooperation with the ministry and other relevant authorities in Oman and Saudi Arabia.

He also reviewed key improvements in the service facilities at the camps and the indicators from the previous Hajj season (1446 AH), which showed a high satisfaction rate of 96.9 percent, a notable increase from the 1445 AH season. He praised the efforts that led to this achievement and highlighted that Oman, represented by the Omani Hajj Mission, received the International Award for Commitment to Health Capacity.

He also presented the timeline and general plan for the 1447 AH Hajj season, emphasising that the meeting’s early timing underscores the importance of early preparation to provide the best services for pilgrims from Oman.
