MUSCAT – The two-month ban is implemented in accordance with Ministerial Decision No. 230/2014.
During this period, all activities related to kingfish—including fishing, transporting, buying, selling, trading, and exporting—are strictly prohibited.
The Ministry has called on all fishermen, fish transporters, seafood companies, and fisheries establishments to strictly comply with the ban. It also stressed the importance of registering any kingfish stock with the relevant authorities before the ban comes into effect, as unregistered quantities will not be permitted for sale or export during the restricted period.
The Ministry requests all concerned parties to cooperate for the public good and to avoid legal action and penalties against violators.
