MUSCAT – The Association stated that these attacks bring the total number of journalists killed since the beginning of the aggression to 242, calling it a deliberate attempt to silence the voice of truth and conceal the atrocities of the occupation.
In a formal statement, the OJA described the targeting of journalists as a flagrant violation of international laws and conventions, and classified the acts as war crimes that require immediate international accountability.
The Association called on the international community, along with media and human rights organisations, to break their silence and take urgent action to stop these violations and ensure full protection for journalists operating in conflict zones.

“The Omani Journalists Association stresses that the blood of journalists will not silence the truth, and that the occupation’s attempts to obscure the traces of its crimes will fail in the face of the steadfastness of Palestinian journalists and their insistence on performing their humanitarian and professional mission,” the statement emphasised.
The Association also expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, praying for mercy upon the martyrs and a swift recovery for the injured.
The statement concluded by stressing that Palestinian journalists are not alone in this battle, and that all honourable media professionals and free voices around the world stand with them in their struggle.
