MUSCAT – Data released by the Statistical Centre for the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Gulf (GCC-Stat) indicated that inclusive primary education for persons with disabilities has also reached 100 percent across the region, compared to the global rate of 50 percent.

In the healthcare sector, the GCC has achieved 72 percent health coverage, slightly above the global average of 68 percent, though the report noted some variation among member states.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries attach great importance to the family within the framework of their joint work. They have allocated a special goal for this purpose in the GCC population strategy, which is the eighth goal in the social development axis.
