MUSCAT – According to the Ministry’s statement, the app has not obtained the necessary approvals as stipulated under the Land Transport Law, issued by Royal Decree No. 10/2016 dated January 8, 2016, and its executive regulations set forth in Ministerial Resolution No. 2/2018, also dated January 8, 2018.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to regulating land transport activities across the Sultanate of Oman to ensure safety, legality, and fair competition in the sector. It also warned of legal actions against violators.
“Within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to regulate land transport activities in the Sultanate of Oman, it calls upon all licensed land transport facilities and concerned persons, as well as beneficiaries of transport services, not to deal with this application in any way. The Ministry confirms that it will take the necessary legal measures against any violations, and calls on everyone to cooperate and report any practices related to the aforementioned application,” the Ministry stated.
