Muscat: Originally scheduled for August 1, 2025, the new enforcement date provides importers, manufacturers, and retailers with additional time to prepare for full compliance with the DTS requirements. The system applies to excise goods such as soft drinks, energy drinks, and other excise beverages—excluding sweetened beverages.
From November 1 onward, the sale or distribution of any unstamped excise products will be strictly prohibited within the Sultanate of Oman. All products under this category must bear the approved digital tax stamps before entering the domestic market.
The Tax Authority has urged all relevant stakeholders to take the necessary steps to ensure readiness by the new deadline, warning that no exceptions or extensions will be granted beyond this date.

The Digital Tax Stamp System is designed to improve transparency and control in the excise goods market. These stamps serve as proof that the required taxes have been paid and enable authorities to track and trace excise goods throughout the supply chain, strengthening compliance and reducing illicit trade.
