MUSCAT – Effective immediately, the circular stipulates that the renewal of professional licenses for non-Omani pharmacists and assistant pharmacists working in these specified establishments will no longer be permitted.
“In alignment with national workforce development objectives, all pharmacies operating within commercial complexes, as well as internal hospital affiliated pharmacies, are hereby instructed to initiate the Omanisation of their pharmaceutical workforce. Please be advised that effective immediately, the renewal of professional licenses for non-Omani pharmacists and assistant pharmacists working in these establishments will not be permitted. Institutions are urged to take the necessary steps to comply with this directive in a timely manner. Your cooperation in implementing these directives is highly appreciated,” states the Circular, signed by Ibrahim Nasser Al Rashdi, Director General of the Drug Safety Centre at the Ministry of Health.
