MUSCAT – According to a statement from the ROP, the Nimr Police Unit of the Oil and Gas Installations Security Police apprehended the citizen while he was transporting 14 Ethiopian infiltrators in a four-wheel-drive vehicle. The arrest took place in one of the oil facility areas in southern Oman.
In a related operation, police also detained 11 other infiltrators of the same nationality, who were discovered attempting to cross desert areas on foot – some of them were found in poor health due to exhaustion and dehydration.
The ROP confirmed that the individuals were given the necessary medical care before initiating legal procedures against them.
