Muscat Stock Exchange slips as trading value drops 35% amid foreign sell-off

The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) closed in the red on Monday, with the benchmark MSE 30 index shedding 26.6 points to settle at 4,513.93, down 0.59% from the previous session.

Muscat: According to a report issued by the Muscat Stock Exchange, the total trading value dropped sharply to RO 11.24 million, a significant 35.3% decline compared to the previous session’s RO 17.36 million.

The market value saw a marginal dip of 0.011%, bringing the total to approximately RO 28.30 billion.

Foreign investment activity also leaned negative. Non-Omani purchases were recorded at RO 566,000 (5.03% of total trades), while non-Omani sales amounted to RO 1.609 million (14.32%). This led to a net foreign investment outflow of RO 1.044 million, accounting for a 9.29% decline.
