Muscat: This represents a qualitative step towards modernizing OQ’s procurement processes and enhancing supplier management practices, contributing to building a more cohesive and efficient work system. It also positions OQ as the first company in the Sultanate of Oman to successfully integrate the global classification system into all its materials and supplier management systems.
It embodies OQ Group’s commitment to innovation, reflecting its leadership in adopting global governance and classification systems.

The integration of this system into the Tawreed portal represents a qualitative shift in OQ’s materials and supplier management, as it contributes to standardizing classification and achieving integration between various departments; simplifying supply procedures: improving workflow efficiency; reducing duplication in data entry; and facilitating supplier evaluation and integration based on accurate and clear classifications.

This development also enhances OQ’s ability to conduct precise spending analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and shape sourcing strategies aligned with international best practices. These improvements support the company’s broader goal of achieving comprehensive digital transformation.
Sabrina bint Fadhel Al Bakri, Chief Financial Officer at OQ, emphasised that this achievement embodies OQ’s commitment to a culture of innovation and corporate excellence.

The integration of this advanced system represents a strategic transformation that enhances the efficiency of internal operations and supports the achievement of the highest standards of corporate performance and transparency.

She added that the project is one of the key outcomes of OQ’s digital transformation strategy and aligns closely with the goals of Oman Vision 2040, which emphasises governance, transparency, and the use of smart systems in corporate management. This progress reinforces OQ’s position as a leading institution contributing to the advancement of the business environment in Oman.
