MUSCAT : “The General Secretariat of the Tender Board (GSTB) would like to inform all entities subject to the provisions of the Tender Law to take action regarding the complete non-contracting of contracts with private sector companies that do not comply with the Omanization rates approved by the government,” stated the circular.
The circular outlines the following steps:
• All tender documents must now include a clause related to compliance with Omanisation requirements and the employment of the national workforce, according to the format in the tender documents.
• Prior to issuing any tender, government entities must verify that bidding companies meet the required Omanization levels. This verification will be carried out through the Isnad electronic tendering system, which is directly linked with data from the Ministry of Labor.
• Foreign firms not registered in Oman but participating in international tenders will also be monitored for compliance with Omanisation commitments. Their adherence will be tracked after contract award and throughout implementation under the framework of the local content plan.
Therefore, everyone is request.
