Muscat – Invoking verses from the Holy Quran, the Honourable Lady’s note opened with a reflection on the divine promise of peace and Paradise for the righteous soul:
” O tranquil soul! Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [Him]. So enter among My servants, and enter My Paradise.’ The Great Truth of Allah.” This opening set the tone for a deeply spiritual and reverent eulogy.
Below is the tribute penned by Her Highness the Honourable Lady:
“This divine call, which befits the purity of souls, I entrust to Allah Almighty, the soul of my dear mother, Sayyida Khalisa bint Nasr bin Yarab Al Busaidi, who ascended to her Lord’s side in a moment mixed with surrender to loss, and sadness with hope, heralding the mercy of Allah Almighty, who encompasses all things.

“Indeed, she had the pure intention that her Lord taught her, giving help and good deeds, the righteous, striving for generosity and benevolence, striving for the bounty of Allah Almighty, overflowing with boundless giving, and arriving where her efforts are seen and rewarded by Allah.
“She lived a life of simple detachment, away from the glitter of ornamentation. Her days were woven from the threads of primal nature. Her soul knew no extravagance, but rather spent days of humility and purity, supported by contentment. Her pure actions embraced the beauty of the soul and stability, emanating from the core of pure humanity. Her soul found comfort in simplicity, like a bird in its vastness.
“She was a mountain of patience, a pillar of steadfastness. Life had tested her many times, and her beautiful response was always one of trial, and the sublime example of patience and endurance. Her soul remained as we knew it: giving, tranquil, adorned with patience, content with divine decree, believing in what Allah had ordained, never complaining, but rather submitting, praising, and giving thanks.
“And today…
“I stand at the threshold of prayer, knocking at the door of the Generous Lord who does not turn away the hopeful eye. I implore Him to make her grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and to open for her a gate of light that will never close, and to make all her deeds as good deeds, and all her known good deeds as abundant, and every tribulation she experienced as a witness for her, and a means to elevate her status, and a delightful provision with a Merciful Lord and a Blessed Abode, where there is no loss, no demise, but rather the Abode of Decision, and the Abode of the Righteous, and the Secure Abode.
“O Allah, make her among the chosen of Your saints, those upon whom there is no fear, nor do they grieve, among the foremost in good deeds, among the victorious, those who are gladdened by Your pleasure.
“And we say nothing but what pleases our Lord: “Indeed we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.” And all praise is due to Allah, the praised by the patient, the thankful, the hopeful [for reward from Allah].”
