MUSCAT : In line with its ongoing commitment to providing a supportive academic environment, the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) has launched a new initiative in collaboration with Alharub Medical Center (AHMC) aimed at enhancing the physical and mental wellbeing of its students, faculty, and staff. The partnership reflects MCBS’s broader mission, not only to provide quality education, but to cultivate a campus culture rooted in holistic comfort and care.

As part of this initiative, the signed MoU between MCBS and AHMC enhances campus support services by providing students with greater access to mental health resources. This partnership ensures a safer and more supportive learning environment, focusing on both physical and mental well-being. The initiative includes health awareness campaigns, preventive screenings, and wellness resources, all facilitated by professionals from Alharub Medical Center. This marks a significant step in MCBS’s commitment to supporting the overall well-being of its community, ensuring that every member is equipped with the resources they need to thrive academically and personally.

Dr. Said Al Kitani, Associate Dean for Community Engagement, stated, “Student success is not only about academic performance; it’s also about their health, happiness, and ability to thrive in all areas of life. This collaboration underscores our belief that wellbeing and education go hand in hand. We are proud to partner with Alharub Medical Center in creating an environment where every student and staff member feels valued, supported, and cared for. At MCBS, the health and development of our students is always a top priority, and we are committed to providing the resources and support needed for their overall success.”

The initiative supports preventive healthcare education and encourages students and employees to adopt healthier lifestyle habits. From stress management to physical health check-ups, the program is structured to reach individuals at every stage of their academic and professional journey at MCBS.

Ms. Nutaila Al Kharusi, Managing Director, Al Harub Medical Centre, added, “We’re proud to partner with MCBS on this important collaboration. At AHMC, we believe mental health is just as important as academic success. As part of this joint effort, we’ll be offering discounted rates for MCBS students and their families on our psychological and psychiatric services. We look forward to supporting their well-being both inside and outside the classroom.”

By embedding health and wellbeing into its core values, MCBS strengthens its standing as a progressive institution dedicated to the comprehensive development of its community. This partnership with Alharub Medical Center is a clear reflection of the college’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals. It complements MCBS’s strategic vision of producing graduates who are not only academically accomplished but also equipped with the physical and mental resilience needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world. By focusing on holistic development, MCBS ensures that its graduates are ready to lead, innovate, and thrive, both professionally and personally, in their future endeavors.
