CPA and Muscat University sign agreement to promote sustainable development goals

The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) and Muscat University have signed a joint cooperation agreement aimed at supporting Sustainable Development Goals through education, research, and public awareness.

MUSCAT : The agreement was signed by His Excellency Sulayem Ali Sulayem Al Hakmani, Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority, and Prof. Khamis Hamad Al Yahyaei, Vice Chancellor of Muscat University. The partnership underscores the integrative efforts between government entities and educational institutions in the Sultanate to achieve the shared goals of both parties.

The agreement outlines several areas of collaboration, including leveraging the expertise of Consumer Protection Authority staff to educate Muscat University students, conducting joint workshops and training programs, and creating academic exchange opportunities. It also facilitates training placements for students and staff from both institutions based on relevant specializations.

In addition, the agreement provides for joint participation in conferences, events, and awareness campaigns, as well as collaboration on academic research projects using data from the Authority and resources from the university’s research centre.
