MUSCAT : The agreement focuses on the operation, expansion, and management of the Al Taafi Suhar Centre as a Center of Excellence to provide treatment and rehabilitation services for drug and psychotropic substance addicts.
As part of the agreement the responsibilities of Salwa Care & Health Services include:
- Providing addiction treatment services for drugs and psychoactive substances.
- Providing psychological and social rehabilitation services.
- Developing the Center’s facilities in accordance with the standards of the Center of Excellence.
- Constructing an additional unit within the Center to provide detoxification services.
It is pertinent to note that the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) is a law that aims to regulate projects where the private sector is responsible for creating, financing, managing, operating, or maintaining infrastructure projects or public utilities. This is done in exchange for agreed-upon benefits that contribute to increasing the efficiency of the service.
