MUSCAT : The Oman Civil Aviation Authority has issued a weather warning, forecasting a trough of low pressure to affect the Sultanate from January 2 to January 5.

According to the Oman Civil Aviation Authority, the weather system will bring scattered rain showers, primarily affecting the Musandam Governorate and the coastal areas along the Sea of Oman.

Residents in these areas can expect a noticeable drop in temperatures, along with fog formation over mountainous regions. Winds will also pick up, creating conditions favorable for raising dust and reducing visibility.
