Muscat: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) in Oman has successfully facilitated a settlement between a customer and a North Al Batinah Governorate car dealership after a dispute over a faulty truck purchase.

The complaint was raised by a consumer who purchased a brand-new truck, only to encounter a serious defect that caused the vehicle to stop while driving. Despite approaching the car agency for assistance, the dealership initially disregarded the customer’s repair request.

After the Consumer Protection Authority intervened, a cordial resolution was reached. The consumer was refunded RO 8,560, and the car agency agreed to return the truck and cancel the contract.
