Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority of Oman has announced the official launch of the “Serb” platform, a new initiative for registering and managing drone traffic.
The newly licensed “Serb” platform is a significant milestone in Oman’s efforts to regulate drone operations. Designed to ensure the safety of airspace, individuals, property, and the environment, the platform will allow individuals to register their drones and receive authorization to fly within designated safe zones. These green zones, agreed upon by the Civil Aviation Authority, military, and security bodies, will ensure that drone operations are conducted safely.
Starting from the evening of January 28, 2025, the platform will be accessible to the public, providing an easy and efficient way for recreational drone users to comply with safety guidelines.
The Civil Aviation Authority urges all drone operators to accurately register their details on the platform to ensure they operate within the designated zones.

This initiative marks a critical step in Oman’s commitment to safe and responsible drone usage.
