Oman’s embassies around the world celebrate 54th National Day

The Sultanate of Oman’s embassies around the world held official receptions to commemorate the 54th glorious National Day

Muscat – The events brought together top officials, diplomats, prominent figures from various sectors and Omani citizens in festive atmospheres reflecting the depth of bilateral relations between Oman and the host countries.

The embassies in India, Singapore, Cyprus, Qatar, Ethiopia, South Korea, Syria, Morocco, France, Belgium and Turkey, among others, hosted receptions that were attended by high-ranking officials.
H.E. Issa bin Saleh Al Shaibani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of India, hosted a reception on the occasion in the Indian capital, New Delhi. The reception was attended by H.E. Suresh Gopi, Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Tourism, a number of Indian officials, a number of their excellencies the ambassadors accredited to India, members of the diplomatic corps and a number of representatives of international organisations and governmental and private institutions in India
In Singapore, the Oman Embassy hosted a reception attended by H.E. Shireen bint Abdul Wahab Al Zadjali, Charge d’Affaires. The event welcomed H.E. Mohamed Fahmi Aliman, Mayor of the South East District, Members of Parliament Patrick Tay and Lim Biow Chuan, along with local officials, Ambassadors, and representatives of international and regional organisations.


The celebration highlighted the strong relations between Oman and Singapore, with guests expressing their wishes for Oman’s continued progress and prosperity.
In Nicosia, H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Awadh Alnahdi hosted a reception attended by H.E. George Papanastasiou, Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry of Cyprus, alongside government officials and business leaders.
In his speech, the Ambassador praised the growing bilateral relations between Oman and Cyprus, particularly in the fields of economy, tourism, and higher education. He also reiterated Oman’s support for international efforts on the Cyprus issue.
In Doha, H.E. Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah Albusaidi hosted a reception attended by Qatari ministers, officials, ambassadors, business leaders, and Omani students and residents.
Attendees praised the fraternal relations between Oman and Qatar. They expressed their hopes for further prosperity for Oman, and acknowledged its leading role in promoting regional security and stability.
In Addis Ababa, H.E. Ahmed bin Bakhit Alshahri hosted a reception marking the National Day, attended by H.e. Neguss Kebede, Director General of the Middle East, Asia, and Pacific Department at Ethiopia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, alongside ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions, and business leaders.
In Seoul, South Korea, the Embassy organised a celebration hosted by Ambassador Sheikh Zakaria Alsaadi, South Korea’s Minister of Trade Inkyo Cheong, and attended by more than 500 guests. The event featured cultural and artistic performances by Korean groups and an orchestra.
In his speech, the Ambassador highlighted 50 years of bilateral relations, focusing on current and future cooperation in energy, particularly renewable energy and green hydrogen.
In Damascus, Syria, H.E. Turki Albusaidi hosted a reception attended by senior Syrian officials, including H.E. Dr Bouthaina Shaaban, adviser to the President of Syria, along with advisers and Ministers from the Syrian Government.

The event highlighted the fraternal relations between the two countries, with the participation of international organisations, intellectuals and media representatives.
In Rabat, Morocco, the Embassy organised a celebration led by H.E. Khalid Ahmed Bamakhalif, with the participation of H.E. Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister and Naima Ben Yahia, Minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family, as well as parliamentarians and officials. The event drew a large audience of Arab and foreign diplomats and Omani students, emphasising the strong relations between the two countries.
In Paris, H.E. Ahmed Alaraimi hosted a reception where he delivered a speech highlighting Oman Vision 2040, the country’s development achievements and its foreign policy based on peace and justice. The event was attended by French officials, diplomats and representatives of international organisations.
In Belgium, H.E. Ruwa bint Issa al Zadjaliyah, Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, and Head of its Mission to the European Union, hosted a reception in Brussels. Attendees included Belgian and European officials from economic, political and cultural fields, along with ambassadors from Arab and friendly countries accredited to Brussels. In her speech, the ambassador highlighted Oman’s comprehensive development journey under Oman Vision 2040 and its policy of dialogue, respect and cooperation. She also reflected on the 46-year history of Omani-Belgian relations and emphasised the outcomes of the European-Gulf Summit held in Brussels, which laid the foundation for enhanced cooperation across various sectors.

In Türkiye, H.E. Saif bin Rashid al Jahwari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Türkiye, hosted a grand reception in Ankara to commemorate the National Day. The event saw the distinguished presence of H.E. Dr Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Treasury and Finance of Türkiye, alongside a host of ambassadors from brotherly and friendly nations, Turkish officials from various government agencies, parliamentarians, members of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, businessmen, academics, media professionals and Omani citizens residing in or visiting Türkiye.
All the celebrations reflected a patriotic spirit showcasing Oman’s heritage and culture. They also witnessed significant participation, demonstrating the depth of relations between Oman and the host countries, as well as international appreciation for Oman’s diplomatic approach of tolerance, dialogue and fostering cooperation.
