BUDAPEST: By royal order, Her Excellency Dr Madiha bint Ahmed bin Nasser Al Shibaniyah, the Minister of Education, Chairwoman of the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, hands over the UNESCO Sultan Qaboos Prize for Environmental Conservation for 2024 in Budapest.
The award was handed over to the representative of the Namib Desert Environmental Education Fund in the Republic of Namibia after the Fund won the award in its 17th edition for its efforts in the field of non-profit environmental education, which has targeted more than 160,000 students from various educational levels and groups from civil society since its launch.
