TEHRAN : Hezbollah has appointed Naim Qassem as its new secretary-general, following the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah by Israeli forces last month. The announcement came from the group’s media office on Tuesday, marking a significant leadership transition following Nasrallah’s death.
The decision was made by Hezbollah’s Senior Council, emphasizing adherence to the established process for selecting leadership within the organization.
