ABU DHABI : The incident occurred on October 20 in Al Ain during a Zamalek-Pyramids game, where the players’ actions sparked disturbances among fans.
The court’s decision comes after thorough investigations into the players’ actions, which included assaulting on-duty security personnel and inciting unrest among spectators. Footage from stadium cameras and victim testimonies supported the allegations, confirming the defendants’ violations of regulatory controls and aggressive behavior toward public officials.
The three Zamalek players, detained by Emirati authorities before the Egyptian Super Cup semifinal at Al Ain Club Stadium, were alleged to have assaulted a security officer during pre-match arrangements. Following their detainment, the case was swiftly referred to the Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution and subsequently to court, where it was reviewed in a series of hearings.
