Muscat: His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, issued a direct and uncompromising message on X, urging world leaders to focus on the root cause of instability in the Middle East: Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories. Criticizing both the passive condemnation of Iran and the unconditional defense of Israel, Albusaidi stated that such policies fail to address the crisis in any meaningful way.

In his message, he emphasized, “It is easy for certain governments to stand by and condemn Iranian actions. But that solves nothing.” He further highlighted that true peace cannot be achieved by simply containing Iran, eliminating Hamas, or defeating Hezbollah. Instead, Albusaidi pointed to the necessity of ending Israel’s occupation and halting its military operations in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon.

His Excellency’s statement also condemned the long-standing international reluctance to secure Palestinian statehood, citing the erosion of Palestinian rights through illegal settlements and what he called an “apartheid regime.” He called for immediate and genuine respect for international law, urging decisive global action to establish a fully sovereign Palestinian state. “This must change now,” he insisted, demanding that Israel’s military operations be suspended and the occupation brought to an end.
