Muscat – This landmark agreement sets forth the provision of up to 0.8 million metric tons of LNG annually from the Oman LNG industrial complex to JERA over a period of ten years, commencing in 2025.
The agreement will contribute to enhancing the existing cooperation between the two companies, as JERA is the largest importer of liquefied natural gas from the Sultanate of Oman in Japan, and Oman LNG is also looking forward, through this cooperation, to consolidate its position in the Japanese markets.
Hamad bin Mohammed Al Numani, CEO of the Oman LNG Company, emphasized the significance of this agreement in strengthening the burgeoning partnership with JERA, a key player in Japan’s energy sector. Al Numani highlighted that the agreement underscores JERA’s complete confidence in the Oman LNG Company and opens doors to economic growth opportunities for both parties by facilitating access to major markets.
Moreover, Al Numani reiterated the Oman LNG Company’s commitment to upholding its reputation as a reliable LNG supplier, showcasing its adeptness in efficiently managing business operations to ensure the provision of safe and sustainable energy to customers worldwide.
