Muscat – The organizing committee of the Samail Festival, headed by H.E, Mohammed bin Khamis bin Nabhan Al Hussaini, a member of the Shura Council from the Wilayat of Samail, discussed preparations for the inauguration ceremony to launch the festival, whose first edition is held under the supervision of the Office of the Governorate of Interior.

The organizing committee also visited sites where the event will be hosted, including the Samail Club, which will host the Al Feyhaa Football Cup with the participation of 16 teams. An equestrian event is also scheduled in the wilayat’s equestrian field. The Omani Women’s Association will organize a preparatory workshop on October 20 for the scheduled Entrepreneurs Forum.

The Samail Festival also enjoys support from a number of government agencies, including the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion, the Ministry of Social Development, the Public Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, and the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates. The organizing committee had met earlier with the companies operating in the Samail Industrial City (Madayn) in order to prepare for the two largest economic events that will be held there – the Samail Economic Forum and the exhibition of industrial products, in addition to cultural, tourist, sports and artistic events that will be held during the festival, which will be held over the course of the year.  The Samail Festival in its first edition is a positive step for industrial and investment promotion in the state in particular and in the Sultanate of Oman in general, hoping the success of the first economic activity in the festival to be the base from which to launch the upcoming events

The idea of ​​holding the Samail Festival is the first of various and specialized events that contribute to activating societal roles, support development in the state and promote tourism, history and heritage for the state, which has a great legacy. The Festival will coincide with the Sultanate’s celebrations of the fifty-second glorious National Day.
