MUSCAT: Muscat Municipality Chairman His Excellency Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Humaidi visited the Aster Royal Hospital Muscat on Sunday, July 24.
With the soft opening of Aster Royal Hospital just around the corner, the newest super-multi-speciality Hospital located in Al Ghubra, received Muscat Municipality Chairman for a friendly site-visit as a part Zuwarat Aster program.
During the tour, guided by the Hospital’s CEO, Dr. Ashendu Pandey, His Excellency acknowledged information about all the departments, cutting-edge technology and unique services that the Hospital will offer the Oman community. Dr Ashendu was assisted by Ms Nadiya Azghar Al Balushi, HR Director and other team members for the tour.

His Excellency visited various departments, including the Intensive Care Unit, radiology and physiotherapy department, Operation Theatres, Cath-Lab, Aster centre of excellences-Gastroenterology (led by the Hospital’s Medical Director and renowned Senior Consultants, Dr. Ashik Sainu Mohiyadeen and Dr. Hisham Al Dhahab), Orthopaedics and Obstetrics – Gynaecology.

The chairman also praised the efforts taken by Aster Group for bringing new services to Oman and highlighted the importance of keeping the patients close to the families during complex procedures like organ transplantation or heart interventions.
He said, “During complex procedures or interventions, the patient needs to feel supported by their family and friends, and Aster Royal Hospital is making this a possibility to the Oman nationals who earlier travelled abroad to receive similar treatments. I appreciate Aster Hospital for this initiative and wish them good luck for the upcoming soft opening of the hospital.”
Aster Royal Hospital is equipped with two underground floors for parking, 200 beds, an entire floor dedicated for women and children along with a world-class team of doctors and medical staff. The hospital will throw open its doors to the public shortly.
