MUSCAT: Oman’s national carrier Oman Air has plans to operate daily flights from Bangladesh capital Dhaka.
This decision was taken to serve the growing number of passengers from Bangladesh, as Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport in Dhaka prepares to operate its new terminal.
Regional Vice President of Oman Air, Sunil VA said in an interview published in Daily Star, “Oman Air is currently operating three flights per week from Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport, but it wants to operate flights on a daily basis, and Oman Air is currently operating seven weekly flights from Shah Amanat International Airport located in the coastal city of Chattogram.”

Sunil added, “The new terminal runway at Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport is under construction, and we hope to have the airport fully open by June, and begin operating daily flights from here.”
