This is how public and private schools in Oman will be operated during second semester

The statement comes following the decision taken by the Supreme Committee.

MUSCAT: Following the decision by the Supreme Committee, Oman’s Ministry of Education issued a detailed statement regarding the operation of public and private schools for the second semester in the academic year 2022/2021.

Following decisions have been taken by the Ministry.

  1. Grade 1-4 has been given approval to operate in blended education system (week by week), with the exception of low -density schools with not more than 20 students per class and they must be managed by the direct education system 100% while adhering to the precautionary health measures.  
  1. The Ministry has given approval for grades 5-11 to follow direct education system with the exemption of classrooms of schools with more than 30 students per semester, which are run by the blended education system (week after week), while adhering to the precautionary health measures.  
  2. Classes of Grade 12 students must be conducted in a 100% direct education system.
  3. The working hours of private schools are in accordance with the guide (mechanisms for operating private and international schools in the Sultanate of Oman for the academic year 2022/2021) approved by Ministerial Resolution (192/2021) regarding the adoption of the rules and principles of the general framework.
