MUSCAT: Egyptian journalist writer Sanaa Al-Saeed said that the Sultanate of Oman remains the embodiment of the model state in the field of Arab relations, due to its wise vision in dealing with events, which always corresponds to its aim of supporting security and stability in the region, by providing the opportunity to reach The best way to achieve it.
In an article published by the Egyptian newspaper Al-Osboa on its website, she added that there are many examples of this, including her efforts to find a peaceful solution for both Syria and Yemen, using diplomacy based on means acceptable to all, and that would stimulate rapprochement between the parties to reach successful political solutions. The position on Syria when it made reservations about many of the Arab League’s decisions, among which was the suspension of Syria’s membership in the organisation.
She stated, “The Sultanate of Oman adopted a political realism approach, which made it enjoy good relations with everyone, which gave it a distinguished position at the regional and international levels, and kept it away from political quarrels, conflicts and blocs that may negatively affect the development process in any country.”

She stressed that the Sultanate succeeded, due to its transparent and clear policy, in maintaining its relations with Iran, and then distanced itself from the crises between Iran and international and regional powers. in July 2015.
She continued, “Oman enjoyed a remarkable peculiarity in the regional, Gulf, Arab and international contexts, supported by geographical and geo-strategic considerations, historical requirements and cultural dimensions. Therefore, it was not surprising that its foreign policy came as a direct reflection of its peculiarity after it possessed so much of the individual, in terms of vision and movement. and strategic positions.”
She explained that Oman succeeded in developing a unique foreign policy, with a clear flavour, through which it was able to maintain friendly relations with actors and influencers in the region, through reconciliation and convergence of views between them.
She added, “Oman adopted a remarkable success formula in its foreign policy, which was based on neutrality, realism and pan-Arab affiliation, taking into account the value of the national interest, and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.”
With its rejection of the policy of alliances and regional axes and the militarisation of international conflicts, which enabled it to have the ability to manage calm efforts between the conflicting parties, as it kept all channels of communication open with everyone.
