MUSCAT: Ministry of Heritage and Tourism said it will reintroduce the 4% tourism tax that was temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 crisis.
In a statement issued, the Ministry said: In order to promote positive economic impact of tourism due to Covid 19 crises, it was decided by Supreme committee to exempt tax for all facilities related to tourism until December 2021 furthermore to recalculate 4% tourism taxes starting from 1 January 2022.”
Earlier, Muscat Municipality also said it will reimplement the municipal tax that was suspended last year.
