MUSCAT: The total number of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) registered in the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Riyada) till the end of October 2021 has increased by 27.8 per cent.
The total number of micro, small and medium enterprises registered with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority increased by 27.8% by the end of October 2021 to reach 60,340 enterprises.
In a statement issued by National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) said: “The number of micro, small and medium enterprises registered with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority at the end of October 2021 increased by 27.8 percent to reach about 60,340 institutions, according to data issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information,” Oman News Agency said on Saturday.

Data issued by NCSI indicated that the Governorate of Muscat ranked first in the number of small, small and medium enterprises with 20,422 institutions, an increase of 29.2 percent.
