MUSCAT: Wilayat Suwaiq received the highest amount of rainfall following cyclone Shaheen, a top official at Oman Met said on Monday.
Cyclone Shaheen that is now downgraded to a tropical depression made landfall in Musannah and Suwaiq on Sunday evening.
Dr. Saeed bin Hamad Al-Sarmi, a weather forecast expert at the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said Wilayat of Suwaiq amounted to about 290.8 mm of rainfall, followed by Al-Khaboura, which recorded 167.9 mm, while Muscat recorded over 170 mm rainfall.

The tropical depression is currently concentrated in Al Dhahirah Governorate and is expected to continue its movement and weakness towards the west before it exit from the borders of the Sultanate.
