MUSCAT: The gap between the first and second doses of the Covid-19 vaccine is to be cut in the Sultanate.
Currently, there is a gap of about 10 weeks between the two doses of COVID-19 vaccines. Starting from Tuesday, August 17, this will now be reduced to six weeks, the Ministry of Health has confirmed.
In a statement issued, MOH said those who have completed six weeks after taking the first dose can now register for the second jab. “MOH calls on all those who received the first dose and completed six weeks to register through the Tarassud App to take the second dose of the vaccine,” MOH said in the statement.
