MUSCAT : Indian domestic passengers travelling to Kerala, Maharashtra and West Bengal need not submit a negative PCR test report if they are fully vaccinated, Indian carrier Air India said. However, this is not applicable to international travellers for now.

Domestic passengers need to carry proof of having received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, Air India said. The second dose should have been taken at least 15 days before the date of travel.

Earlier, Air India tweeted stating that passengers are exempted from PCR test if they are fully vaccinated. At first, the airline did not clarify whether it was for domestic or international passengers causing confusion among people. Following the news published by major media outlets, the national airline published a correction stating that the new decision is applicable only for Indian domestic passengers.
