Indian cricket legend and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly arrives in Muscat

The former India captain is visiting to inspect the grounds and to discuss important issues regarding the T20 World Cup.

MUSCAT: Indian cricket legend and current president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Sourav Ganguly has arrived in Oman on a short-trip.

With Oman hosting the ICC Twenty20 World Cup, Ganguly is visiting to inspect the grounds and to discuss important issues regarding the tournament. The official groupings for the World Cup will also be announced in a special ceremony to be held at Oman Cricket Academy.

The former India captain, popularly known as Dada and Prince of Kolkata, took Indian cricket to great heights during his tenure.

Ganguly is India’s third-highest run-scorer in the ODIs, with a tally of 11,163 runs, including 22 centuries and 72 half-centuries.
