MUSCAT: Supreme Committee on Sunday issued a notice informing that the concerned authorities can take legal measures against those violating its decisions including gatherings of any form.
In the statement issued, the committee urged the public to avoid gatherings especially weddings and funerals because of severe risk of spreading the virus. “The Supreme Committee has issued a notice in which it affirmed the prohibition of holding gatherings of any kind and not participating in them, especially weddings and funerals, because of their severe risk of spreading infection among the community. The committee indicated that the concerned authorities will take all legal measures to arrest the violators,” the statement from Government Communication Centre said.
