MUSCAT: Oman’s Public Prosecutor on Tuesday appointed officials to investigate embezzlement of public funds, and money laundering cases.
His Excellency Nasr bin Khamis Al-Sawai, the Public Prosecutor also appointed a team to handle juvenile cases.
In a statement issued, the Public Prosecution announced that several organisational divisions has been amended and also merged many departments. “This comes as part of the development and improvement of performance in keeping with Oman’s vision 2040 and in implementation of the plan to develop and improve the public prosecution’s work,” the statement said.

A decision was also issued to transfer, appoint and assign a number of members of the Public Prosecution.
