MUSCAT: Establishing private schools without approval from the Ministry of Education can lead to three months in jail and a fine of OMR 500, Oman’s Public Prosecution said on Sunday.
“Private schools are established by an approval from the Ministry of Education in it’s capacity as the suprevisory authority for stages of general education and it’s different types,” Public Prosecution explained.
“Violations of regulations, systems and decisions regarding the establishment of private schools are offenses that result in imprisonment for a period up to three months and a fine that extend to OMR 500, or by either one of the two sentences,” the statement added.
