MUSCAT: Raoul Restucci will step down as the Managing Director of Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) after 10 years at the helm.
In a statement issued, PDO said Steve Phimister, currently Shell’s Vice President of Upstream in the UK will succeed Restucci as Managing Director in July.
“PDO announces the appointment of Steve Phimister, currently Shell’s Vice President of Upstream in the UK, as PDO Managing Director to succeed Raoul Restucci who is retiring after more than 10 years at the helm. The appointment is effective July 2021,” PDO said in a statement on Tuesday.

In March, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq conferred Restucci with Medal of Honour award for his contributions in the field of his work.
Restucci was appointed as Managing Director of PDO in 2010. Prior to this he was Executive Vice-President of Upstream for Shell in the Middle East & North Africa and was a member of Shell’s Upstream Leadership Team.
