MUSCAT: Expatriates who have already obtained visas until its date are permitted to enter the country, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) clarified on Wednesday.
In the wake of rising coronavirus cases, the Supreme Committee has limited the entry into the country to Omani citizens and resident visa holders starting from April 8.
However, in a statement issued, ROP said: “As per the decision of Supreme Committee tasked with tackling developments resulting from coronavirus pandemic decision in regard with restricting entry to the Sultanateonly to Omani citizens and residency holders, Royal Oman Police clarifies , that people are obtained their visa until its date are permitted for entry into the Sultanate , with the need to adhere requirements of concerned authorities.”

Meanwhile, Civil Aviation Authority, in a circular issued to all operating airlines has said that new residence visas issued until April 5, 2021 can enter the country.
