MUSCAT: The United States expressed its thanks to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik for supporting the efforts undertaken by the office of the United Nations special envoy for Yemen in resolving Yemen crisis.
In a statement issued on Tuesday evening the US affirmed its commitment to achieving ceasefire and reaching a comprehensive political settlement to the crisis in Yemen.
Meanwhile, the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths expressed his gratitude to His Majesty for his constructive efforts and constant support to Yemen to take the path of lasting peace.
