Ooredoo Oman CEO Ian Dench steps down

MUSCAT : Ian Charles Dench has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ooredoo Oman, the company said on Sunday.

In a statement issued to Muscat Securities Market (MSM), Ooredoo said Dench resigned from the company due to personal reasons. “The Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company S.AO.G would like to disclose that Mr Ian Charles Dench has resigned from his position of Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Oman on the 18 March 2021 for personal reasons,” the statement said.

Dench joined Ooredoo Oman in January 2017. He previously worked for Ooredoo Qatar operations, joining in 2006 as Executive Director, Corporate & VIP Accounts.

“The Board of Directors of Ooredoo Oman shall announce the name of the new CEO once the appointment process is finalised,” Ooredoo said in the statement.

Ooredoo said that the last working day for Dench will be June 30, 2021.
