MUSCAT: Oman will close its borders (land, air and sea ports) starting from Tuesday, December 22 for a period of one week in the wake of a fast-spreading variant of COVID-19, the Supreme Committee announced on Monday.
In a statement issued, the SC said the decision will come into effect from 1am on Tuesday.
“Cargo traffic (airplanes, trucks and ships) will be excluded from this prohibition. The committee will continue to monitor the epidemiological situation of the new strain of coronavirus and take appropriate decisions accordingly,” the statement from SC said.
