MUSCAT: Trucks weighing three tonnes and above are allowed to move between governorates without the transit permit, Oman TV reported on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the authorities also allowed water tankers and cooking gas trucks to move within the governorates during the movement ban between 7pm to 6am.
“In order to ensure the continuity of the availability of basic services and products, the concerned authorities decided to allow the movement of trucks weighing 3 tons or more that transport various types of cargo, without requiring the need of transit permits, with the condition that the truck driver only be present,” the statement said.

“Truck drivers should not interact with any people and return directly to the place of residence when the work is completed,” the statement read.
“Water tank trucks and cooking gas trucks are allowed to pass within the governorates from 7pm to 6am,” the statement added.
