MUSCAT: To step up the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, Oman will begin its own N95 face masks production from next month.
Speaking to The Arabian Stories, Issam Al Farsi, Chairman of Al Farsi National Enterprises LLC said the company has build its own manufacturing facility to make surgical masks and healthcare respirators.
Al Farsi National Enterprises is a medical equipment supplier located in Al Misfah Industrial Area. The company has got all the necessary approvals from the Ministry of Health to produce and distribute the face masks. Named as “Trusta”, the company is already producing 20,000 daily 3 Ply Earloop style surgical masks, while the Tie-on surgical masks, N95 particulate respirator masks.

Saju George, Managing Director of Al Farsi National Enterprises said the company has already received the licence to export the masks abroad. “We will start producing the N95 face masks from next month. We are expecting to produce nearly 7,000 N95 masks daily,” George said.
George said his team worked hard to convert the company from a distributor to a manufacturer. “The entire team worked night and day to transform our company from a distributor to a manufacturer. Through this project we are aiming to transform Oman from an importer to an exporter of surgical masks and N95 respirators,” George added.
