MUSCAT: Oman on Tuesday set the fees for coronavirus testing in private healthcare institutions.
According to the circular issued to all private healthcare establishments, the Ministry of Health said the price for collecting Covid-19 testing sample should not exceed beyond OMR 5, while these fees do not include the value of the laboratory examination.
Meanwhile, the PCR realtime sample fee is set at OMR 30, while the PCR point of care is OMR 45 and the immune test is at OMR 14.

“The prices for the lab tests for Covid-19 samples was determined after the approval from the Minister of Health, whether for the purpose of travel or to obtain medical reports (Covid-19 negative certificate),” the circular added.
